Anna Khvyl
Anna Khvyl is a Ukrainian sound artist, composer, DJ, educator, and researcher based in The Hague. In her practice, Anna explores the relation between sound and commemoration, focusing on how music creates spaces for social bonding and personal self-discovery. Her work to date includes audio releases, sound installations, multichannel live performances, radio shows, film scores, and audio-walks—a format she developed over the last couple of years. She also facilitates workshops on electronic music, DJing, and acoustic ecology, particularly for people who suffered from war trauma and loss, most recently at Uyava Space in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Anna presented her work at Rewire Festival, Sonic Acts Biennial, and Kyiv Biennial.
