Arwa Aburawa and Turab Shah are a London-based filmmaking duo dedicated to exploring race, migration, climate change and other ongoing legacies of colonialism. Their collaborative work often highlights marginalised voices and challenges dominant narratives around environmental issues, particularly how climate change disproportionately affects communities of colour. Together they co-founded Other Cinemas, a project dedicated to supporting Black and non-white communities in London through free film screenings and a free, year-long film school. Their works were presented at the Brent Biennial 2022, LUX London, Framer Framed and CPH:DOX Festival.
