Eduardo Williams

Eduardo Williams is a film director from Argentina. Central to his filmmaking process are the uncertainty and dislocation of unfamiliar contexts, and spontaneous connections between people. He often uses contemporary technologies such as 360 degree cameras to create unstable filmic environments. His recent trilogy The Human Surge was shot in various locations around the world, employing long takes and immersive camerawork to shift between physical and virtual spaces. His work has been showcased at numerous international film festivals such as Locarno Film Festival, TIFF or FICUNAM. He is celebrated for pushing the boundaries of cinematic language at a moment when media saturation makes newness a near impossibility. Eduardo Williams is the artist in focus for Field Recordings 5.
