Guillaume Cailleau
Guillaume Cailleau is a filmmaker and multimedia artist whose practice spans 16mm film, HD video, immersive installations, and live performance. Born in France and now based in Berlin, his work reexamines the overlooked nuances of everyday life by isolating familiar details and reframing them within the transformative contexts of galleries, museums, and theaters.
As an active member of the collective LaborBerlin, Guillaume dedicates himself to the preservation and innovation of celluloid film and DIY processing techniques. He also collaborates with Hanna’s Atelier for Sonorous Arts Ljubljana, contributing to the evolution of sound-based art forms, and works closely with choreographers and performers to create dynamic, stage-integrated video works.
