Kamal Aljafari
Kamal Aljafari is a Palestinian filmmaker and producer who employs methodologies from both documentary and fiction to portray everyday life in Palestine. At the heart of Aljafari’s practice is the desire to make present what otherwise seems to be absent, asking what is missing from the dominant narrative. He increasingly experiments with cinematic grammar, pushing convention in search of an experimental political cinema. His work has been shown at various international film festivals and in galleries worldwide.
