In Kharaltida, filmmaker Vasyl Lyakh revisits the footage of his family home in Mariupol, which is currently under Russian occupation. We see Lyakh and his brother searching for his grandfather's medals, buried in the garden which is now scarred by a hit from a Russian missile, and through conversations with his mother and aunt, he digs into silenced family histories and his Azov Greek heritage. The violence inflicted on his ancestors is seen in the light of the current genocidal war waged by the Russian Federation.
