Kris Dittel
Kris Dittel works as an independent curator, editor and writer based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Her practice is driven by long-term research projects that materialize in various forms: exhibitions, publications, public events, performances, texts, talks, and more. She has an academic background in both art theory, and economics and social sciences, which influences the way she contextualizes and situates her practice.
Besides her curatorial and editorial work, she is core theory tutor at the Master Interior Architecture: Research + Design (MIARD) department of the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam, guest studio lead Critical Inquiry Lab at the Design Academy Eindhoven, curatorial mentor at the Master Artistic Research at KABK The Hague, and guest tutor at the Master of Film: Artistic Research in and through Cinema program at The Netherlands Film Academy in Amsterdam. In a pedagogical context, her writing workshops focus on autotheoretical and autofictional writing, and the politics of citations.
