The Tower

The eponymous tower was an iconic place in Ksuisi village: a place where kids went when they skipped school, men gathered to have a drink, couples hid to kiss. After the Russo-Georgian war of 2008 the village fell under Russian occupation and the people of Ksuisi were forced to leave and settle in a displaced persons’ centre. The tower, which remained on the Georgian side, becomes a place to take inventory of what is lost.
